Happy Holidays !

This will be my last posting before I leave for my holidays .....

But before I go, here's an update of my knitted projects - completed the Falling Leaves socks which I had enjoyed tremendously - the yarn is so soft to knit with, the colors are gorgeous & the pattern is easy & last but not least, the socks are knitted toe-up which will be the only way that I will be knitting all my socks. Take a look.....

And here is a close-up of the lovely pattern - they really look like leaves .....

Along with my addiction to knitting socks, I have just join my 1st Sock Club with Pick Up Sticks, a Canadian web store selling handpainted sock yarns - they are gorgeous & as a member of the club, I will receive sock yarn & a pattern every month - I really can't wait for my December package to arrive - unfortunately, I will not be around to receive it - guess I will have to wait till I return in January! Do go & check out the club & the blog!

As I will be going away for 4 weeks, I do plan to do some holiday knitting & had packed enough yarn for the following projects :

  • A pair of plain socks for Lynette using Lana Grossa cotton
  • Widdershins using Knittery's 4ply cashmere merino
  • Hourglass Cable Sweater (Jo Sharp's Knit 2) using Jo Sharp's Soho Summer
  • Hannah (Naturally Noro) using Knittery's 4ply merino

I know all these knitting seem too adventurous but I do need more projects than necessary - just in case, some of the projects do not turn out to my expectation - I don't want to be caught without any knitting to do - I don't think I can live with that!

I have even packed my little bamboo dpns to attempt knitting socks on the plane - I have already done the crochet chain (as I don't think the metal crochet hook can pass thro' x-ray) & will be ready to go when the plane takes off! Hope my plan works as I can't imagine not being able to knit for 5 hours - what else can I do on board?????

Well, that's it & I am off - I will like to wish all of you (friends that I have made in the blogging knitting world) A Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year & may 2007 be a more exciting & challenging knitting year!
