I have really enjoyed participating in the Central Park KAL - it has been so interesting reading about what other knitters do & the variations that are made to ONE pattern - how creative! Knitting the hoodie has also been so enjoyable especially when I knitted it in ONE PIECE - there are no seams to sew in the entire garment - 3 needle bind off for the shoulders & the hood, pick up the front bands & arm bands - that's it - NO SEWING - this is my kind of knitting!
As I wanted to put in a zip & after consultation with my blog pal, Cindy, I knitted moss stitch for the bands as sewing a zip on a ribbed band will not be nice - I am glad I did it as I really like the moss stitch band - have a closer look .....
I was a little worried that the moss stitch band will not match the ribbed band but it did! Now all I have to do is find that ZIP & it's done - anyway, I will wear it for now zipless as it still looks great - Lynette wants one too!
I also managed to find time to knit this ......
..... a dishcloth - it was fun knitting this & seeing the cables forming without a cable needle - I knitted this dishcloth in Jo Sharp Soho Summer Cotton - leftover from a summer top - now I can use up my leftover cottons when I find the time.
I will be away for 10 days - it's the school holidays & we are driving up north to Monkey Mia - 10 hours drive one way - premium knitting time - I have a whole bag of projects (for the Jacaranda Festival) to bring along & I will be back to post the FOs (hope there will be lots!).

Simply beautiful!! Great job!
Dear Ann, how lovely your CPH looks!! The moss band looks just right too. You really hate sewing up, don't you!!!! I agree with the finding the zip problem. I ended up with a dark blue one for my Dr Who Zippy Uppy Cardigan... Have a happy holiday!!
I love your sleeveless version of CPH.
Hey I have been Monkey Mia, about 20 years ago now but I can remember it being a lot of fun. Mr Brickie was best man in a wedding in WA and we used the time for a holiday also, enjoy :)
Your hoodie and the dishcloth look fantastic.
I love your hoodie! You must be so pleased with it, it is just beautiful.
I enjoyed watching your hoodie grow. And I kinda like the whole "no sew" thing. I have casted on and noticed that the front edge that starts off with the pattern are purl sts. Did you have to add sts to make this come out right? Please let me know. Thanks, Miss Amy
The Central Park is sweet! I never thought about using a zipper. I am starting my first sweater ever and the Central Park is going to be my second. I love your color!
Hi Ann!! Your hoodie is beautiful!! You must teach me how to knit that one day!! Especially no seams!! Haha!!
Anyway, hope you have a great time in Monkey Mia and tell me all about it!!!
Wow! nice....hope you can find a zip soon so you can wear your cardie to the next city nits (if weather permits :P)
Happy holidays!!!
your blog came up in a google for CPH with a zip (or without a zip as it happens ;) )! And coincidently you've used the exact same yarn and colour I had earmarked for it too! So I have garnered much inspiration from you Ann! Thanks! and I now can't wait to start :)
This was planned for my next project...just have to grab the yarn on the weekend...I'm definitely going to do it in one piece after seeing your fantastic efforts!
