M.I.A.

Some of you must have thought that I must have been Missing In Action - knitting action of course! My apologies for not blogging as I just didn't realise that 2 weeks had passed since my last post! Eversince the school term started, I had been in a whirl wind of activities - canteen duty, work, knitting sessions in the libraries & on top of that - 2 information sessions at 2 new libraries - Helen & I have been doing a bit of a driving around & carting all our knitting materials! It was only after the weekend that things are going a little slower & I had a chance to breathe.......

So, I am back again - I have cast off the Snuggly Baby Blanket & since I had some more yarn, decided to cast on a baby hat - I have to finish this really fast as the baby is due in 3 weeks! At the same time, I have also cast on another pair of socks for my best friend's mum-in-law who is visiting from England - but guess what - she is leaving this Saturday - so I also have to knit really fast - thank goodness, it's a pair of socks! I don't think I will be taking things slow this week !

Have a look at the blanket - it's gorgeous & also the pair of basket weave socks that I started during my holidays ......

Here's a close-up of the pattern - I really enjoy knitting this & I think this will be THE BLANKET if I have to knit another one for a new baby ..... & the basket weave on the leg of the sock is lovely too!
