.... on the right is the 1st sock (with pooling in the front) & on the left is the 2nd sock (with pooling in the back) - what a pity but I am happy with these socks as I love the pattern & the yarn is so nice & the socks fitted me perfectly - so I am still wearing these socks !
I did promise not to cast on another sock until I finish all the 2nd socks but I had to break my promise - I had to knit a pair for my dear husband (while he is away) who is suffering from cold feet with the low temperatures in the night - this is the 1st time that he will be wearing hand knitted socks (if he will wear them).
So I cast on during the weekend & within 5 nights, the pair of socks is done - I was amazed that these socks knitted so quickly (must be because it's plain knitting) ! I am really pleased with them as they look great. I used Opal Dreamcatchers as this was the dullest colors that I can find as hubby will not wear anything bright or colorful. The girls are wrapping them up so that it will be a surprise for hubby who is returning on Saturday from a business trip - let's hope he will wear them.
Now I will really, really ...... get back to my Hourglass Sweater which I have to finish & I promise to post pics soon !

They both look really good. I actually really like how the second one turned out.
Great job on the socks! Hope hubby wears his - they're so very nice!
Love those socks. Love the colourways in the Jaywalker.
a pair of socks in 5 days?? wow!!! i dont think anyone else can knit as fast as you ann!!!
hmm...the jaywalkers are really nice but the pooling is quite sad rite? not much progress on my jaywalkers. haha.
isn't it funny we often choose nice colours for ourselves and for the men...it always has to be some dull or dark colours!! ^_^

I really like how the Jaywalkers turned out, the pooling makes them so very different and unique! But I'm wondering - were these skeins of yarn that you were using for the Jays from the same dye-lot? I think it's not so much the pattern that caused the different pooling, but the dyeing of the yarn... Hmmmh... But anyways, they're totally unique and look great!
And gosh, this second pair of socks is absolutely and totally gorgeous, really! What an awesome pattern, and I can't believe how quickly you've knit them up! Fantastic work!
I picked you to be one of the people I tag - details are on my blog. I apologize if you don't want to participate in a meme. Please don't feel obligated!
I think your husband will love his Dreamcatcher socks. They look comfy and they match perfectly! I am thinking of casting on some Jaywalkers and enjoy the opportunity to look at yours more closely, very nice!
