Yarn Feast

During the week, I received 3 skeins of yummy yarn - look at the gorgeous colors - I just can't believe it !

The bluish one (left pic, top) is a new brand from Chile, Araucania Yarn - a mix of wool & polyamide - not so soft but the color, Ranco Solid, is beautiful. I am test knitting a pair of socks from this yarn as Helen & I are thinking of stocking it on our online store - go & check our store for some great summer specials (sorry, can't resist a little advertising here!)

The other yarn, the pinkish one (left pic, bottom) is from Jolly Jumbucks. Irene, the creative lady behind this store, has been attending our City Nits & brought along some of her hand dyed yarn & asked if I was willing to test knit her yarn - how could I resist such gorgeous colors - of course, I can !

The last one (pic on right) is also hand dyed by another creative lady, Sasha whose creativity stretches to no end. I bought this yarn (undyed) from Bilby Yarn & Sasha kindly agreed to test her dyeing skills & create this fantastic blends of colors - A Big Ball of Fruit Punch - yummy & thanks Sasha!

So, I am currently feasting my eyes on these gorgeous goodies & deciding on the patterns & there's more yarn to come as we have just received our shipment of Dream In Color - go quickly & check on our store as they are selling fast!

Awww, this is some delicious yarn that you got there! I can't for the life of me decide which one's the most beautiful colour - I love them all and can't wait to see what you're going to knit with it!

I would think an AUSSIE on-line store carrying sock yarn would be a great thing for those of you living in a place where it is 'summer' right now (she says as she looks out the window to see it snowing)! Good luck!

What pretty yarns and in a nice variety of colors, too. Which one will you knit up first? I find dyeing to be such a challenge and I enjoy looking at yarns from such talented dyers. You are going to have so much fun with these yarns!

I have to agree, those colours are so beautiful.

BTW - I am not sure what you type when leaving messages on my blog, but I can never respond to them. For some reason they go straight to blogger for me to moderate and do not go through haloscan.

Weird, non?
