Cottage Garden Shawl

I am teaching a Lace Shawl Class next week & the pattern that I am using for the class is the Cottage Garden Shawl, my 1st triangle shawl design.

I have knitted this pattern many times but when I started to look for a sample for my class, I could not find one. I had given away all those shawls that I have knitted. I can't believe that I don't have one shawl to show.

So, I had to knit one & I had to do it fast. Went through my stash & found a ball of Jawoll Magic. I love the colors of this yarn .......
I was a little worried when I started knitting that the yarn will be too variegated for lace but it turned out well.
I think this is my 4th Cottage Garden Shawl but I still enjoyed knitting this pattern and it's a simple pattern but with many variations. It will be a great pattern for lace beginners and I hope the 6 ladies who signed up for the class will enjoy knitting this shawl as much as I did.
I also finished a cowl - Cone of the Banksia, for my dear friend, Helen.

This cowl is knitted with Zen Yarn Garden's Cashsilk Fingering yarn, a gorgeous blend of cashmere & silk. It feels so soft & nice around the neck & I hope the cowl will keep Helen warm.

Again many many thanks for gifting me with such a gorgeous yarn and then turning it into one of your cowl designs. You are a knitting legend and may I mention how much I appreciate you knitting items for me.

I'm sure the ladies will enjoy knitting your Cottage Garden shawl as it is such a pretty shawl.

Your shawl is so pretty and what wonderful coincidence that the colours seem to match up perfectly with the pattern. It's lovely. Helen will love that pretty cowl, you are a kind friend!!!

That is a lovely shawl. It's been on my queue for a very long time but I just haven't gotten around to knitting it!!! :)

Love the colours of the yarn. How is the yarn like? I've never knit with this yarn before.

gosh it's awfully pretty! I don't always like non-solid colours for shawls but that really works!
