I Caught The Bug!

Yes, it's official - I have been diagnosed ...... with the One Sock Syndrome ..... I am not kidding - I have been so worried about catching this bug since I started knitting socks & tried my very best to be good & healthy & finished off a pair before casting on another BUT the bug caught up with me & NOW I am suffering from this .....

(from left to right)

  • 1 Tofutsie Sixth Sense Ankle Sock for Helen
  • 1 Rose Hip Slip Up Sock
  • Jaywalkers - had to cast on with the new Lorna Laces Sock yarn
  • Conifer Sock - rip off the leg & re-knit in rib pattern
  • Widdershins - in Knittery's merino cashmere (could not resist this yarn too)
5 socks in progress - that's a record for me & I promised that I will not cast on another until I finished the 2nd sock for each one of them - that means 5 pairs of socks = 10 socks !
Plus my other WIPs - I am now knitting the 1st sleeve for the Hourglass Cable Sweater & knitting the sleeve in the round using dpns - it's going quickly (when I find the time to knit) & the other 2 WIPs are lying somewhere. But that's not enough as I have also in the last few days, cast on the Zig Zag Vest from the new Jo Sharp, Knit 3 magazine - just can't resist another vest!

Then on Saturday, during our City Nits session, some of us (Helen, Sasha & Yin) decided to have a knitalong of the Swallowtail Shawl featured in Interweave Knits, Fall 2006. So the shawl was cast on with the Knittery's 4 ply merino .....

I really, really promised not to cast on another project - I have to finish some of them first - look at my side bar - the list of cast on is really, really l-o-n-g ............

Your socks are sooo pretty! I appreciated learning that the tofutsi yarn splits, so I might not like knitting with that yarn so much. I can't wait to see your Zig Zag vest & Swallowtail shawl progress pictures.

I hate having to knit a second sock too. I'm currently at the beginning of the second sock of the first pair I've done so far, but today I've already bought wool for the next socks, and I start having all kinds of idea for stuff to knit.... (x_X)

Oh Anne they are such lovely socks though!

I always knit the first sock in 1/2 the time it takes me to knit the second.
