More Knitty Fiction

Just finished reading this book - you must read it too - it's great & I really enjoyed it. Heard that Julia Roberts (one of my favorite actress) will be acting in it & I can't wait to see the movie (altho' I am not a movie goer but I will for this one).
It is such a beautiful story of the lives of a single mother & daughter & their yarn shop, Walker & Daughter & the ladies who formed the Friday Knitting Club - well, I am not writing more about it as you can read the review on Amazon or from the Publisher . Wendy is also reading the book & offering free copies on her blog - go read it!

This is not fiction but I managed to have a quick look through at the latest Rowan Magazine 41, Spring & Summer 2007 Collections (which Helen has just received) - there are quite a number of nice patterns that I may have to add to my "To Knit" list, like this one....

& this one ......

& this one (you know my passion with vests)....

Go to English Yarn for more patterns .......

I read the Macomber books you recommended and I liked it - especially since they were set in Seattle!

I have this book on hold at the library too. Wonder how many knitters there will be in the theatre watching this movie and knitting?

Thank you for telling us more about the Friday Night Knitting Club. I always like to read the book before I see the movie. I look forward to seeing your Rowan 41 sweaters and I appreciate seeing these lovely projects.

Knitting novels are almost as good as knitting. I'm reading "It's a Purl Thing", first book of the teen series, "Chicks with Sticks". It's a bit cheesy, but fun.
