... at the Grand Ballroom of the Government House. Yesterday morning, I was all excited when driving into the city to attend the Ball of the Year .... for knitters! Yes, it's the Annual Anglicare & ABC Knit-In where knitters from all over Perth gathered together & knit squares & strips for blankets for the homeless... look at how busy we were - knitting away ....jpg)
.....and of course, we also need inspiration & energy to keep us going .....

..... candies & chocolate but we will very productive - look at the knitted squares lying around. The organisers did a fantastic job - we were very comfortable & warm & well served - there were students volunteers going around offering us beverages, muffins, cakes, biscuits & sandwiches for lunch - what more can we ask for but there was more - free entertainment while we knit ....
.... isn't this great & grand - hundreds of knitters together knitting for a good cause - I can't wait for next year !

The best knitting day of the year for us. It's just such a buzz to knit with so many other knitters at such a beautiful venue for a very good cause. Knit on next year!

What an amazing time it seems you've all had! I'd so wish that something like that would happen over here one day too, but as it is, there even aren't any knitting groups or circles here, duh ;( Perhaps it's time for me to start my own? ;)
