Cat Bordhi

I just received my copy & spend a day reading it & going through all the new architectures for sock knitting - this book is really fancy & fascinating !

Can you see those little stitch markers on the top left corner of the book? They are the alphabet stitch markers that are needed for knitting the socks in the book. I immediately order some from Hide And Sheep but I just could not wait for them to arrive as I was dying to try some of the new toe construction. So I went out & bought some alphabet beads & got my daughter, Lynette to make them into stitch markers - they are the ones on the book.

......here's a close-up shot but sorry for the blurry picture (this happens whenever I tried to take a close-up shot) but aren't they cute & I could use them instantly. I cast on the Whirlpool Toe & it looked great! I can't wait to start knitting one of the new architectures in the book - so many & they all looked grogeous.
School holidays just started here & I am leaving on Monday morning for a beach resort south of Perth - it's about 3 hours drive so that's premium knitting time. I am bringing along 3 new sock projects as tomorrow is the start of Southern Summer of Socks KAL!
Another bit of exciting news - I just got my invite to Ravelry! That's 1 more thing to do & organise - will have to work on it later!

Wow, the patterns must be complicated to need mettered stitch markers, so excellent work on your part to make it all work!!! Clever daughter too. Have a great holiday and I will watch out for you on The Ravelry!!
