.... 100% cotton at S1.99 a ball of 200 metres - of course, I can't resist & bought 6 balls (only) & when I went to pay, they were further discounted to $1.39 a ball! I can't believe that I only paid $8.35 for this lot. This is a new yarn from Spotlight which opened a new store near my place. I think I will be visiting Spotlight regularly as I also spotted some nice bamboo/cotton.I immediately cast on the Fiery Bolero from Interweave Knits Summer 2005 which has been on my wait list for a while.
I not only have new yarn but also new needles ....
- they are the Lantern Moon Sox Stix - smooth & of the right size, only 5 ins long! I love these needles & just cast on the toe-up Monkey Socks. The needles also come in a lovely little bag. I need another set as back-up.
I have been really spoilt as Lynette gave me this ....
- it's a gorgeous satin bag which her friend used as a gift bag. She kept the gift & gave me the bag which is perfect as a sock knitting bag. It's great as it has a hard bottom (like a cup) & the yarn sits nicely in it .....
.... now I am well equipped with my new accessories to start knitting more socks!

I saw that yarn also - it had some interesting shades. I bought a ball of the Bamboo and the Corn to try out. At those prices it's worth it.

i saw those yarn a few weeks back but didnt buy them. do you think they're sort of like dk weight? but like you said...it's really good price!!!

oh yes...those sox stix are fantastic! i think i need them in another size too... but will have to wait till next year... cos i have already spolit myself this christmas :P

What a great price on your new yarn! I can't wait to see how it knits up. I see you have started the Jolly Jumbucks yarn on your Sox Stix. I love mine, I have them in 2.25 mm and 2.75 mm. I did break one while trying to do a little cable pattern, I thought they would be stronger.
Heehee... I got some too, but in a different shade. I couldn't believe the price - and all of the yarn bee range was discounted. Oh dear, not that I need any more yarn!!
