I am so in love ......... with Yosemite from the Spring Issue of knitty - the pattern is lovely & it's a knitting in the round pattern - there's no way that I can resist this project. I didn't even want to consider going out & buying yarn & immediately went through my stash & found 3 skeins of a yummy blend of merino & cashmere. I didn't even realise that I had them & can't even remember the project that I wanted this yarn for.
Anyway, I was too excited to be bothered & started swatching - I did not get the exact gauge but as the pattern has so much ease (because of the ribbing), it was alright.
So I cast on & here's the beginning of my Yosemite ....

.... I am so in love - with the pattern & the yarn (which is the old cashmere/merino from the Knittery).
There's another pattern which is lovely - the Jayden but I will need to think about it seriously as I will need to buy more yarn & the thought of knitting sleeves ....

That is going to be amazing!
I loved that one too but Jaden got to me first ;-) I've bought the mercerized cotton and plan to do short sleeves for it. Yosemite will definitely be in my queue, it's very much my style. Love the yarn for yours, can't wait to see it progress.
I like your choice of yarn - I think it will look great! Nice pattern - I wouldn't wear it but I like it.
Ooh, I want to make Yosemite too! Can't wait to see how yours turns out.
Knitty put some really cute ones out, no?
Beautiful sweater, that Yosemite! I have not seen the Spring Knitty yet so I guess I will dash on over to it.
The color on your yarn is beautiful!
