Pattern : Yosemite (knitty, Spring 2008)
And I am so happy with it after all the modifications - no collar, just a plain rib neck band & cap sleeves ! It's also the right time to wear this vest in the cool evenings of spring. I love the feel of the yarn - so soft & warm.
Now that I have a FO, I can cast on a new project which I have been wanting to for a while. Ever since I knitted the February Lady Sweater, I have been looking for another top down pattern & found this book ......... it's the Slinky Rib but I had substituted the plain 2x2 rib for a lacy mock cable. I love the technique & the instructions in the book are so clear & simple to follow. The yarn that I am using is Bendigo's Allegro - a 100% superwash merino - which is knitting up so well.
I also cast on another pair of socks ......
..... sorry for the blurry pic - it's the Seaweed Socks , a free pattern from Wendy Knits. The colors are gorgeous, another creation from Irene at Jolly Jumbuck.
As today is October 1 & the start of Southern Summer of Socks, I need to cast on another pair of socks to celebrate this KAL - I am having a hard time deciding on the pattern (I want my own design) & the yarn ....
.... again lovely yarn from Irene - on the left is cashmere & on the right is silk - which should I indulge in ?

Looks great! And a huge congratulations for continuing to finish up your WIPs! I have 2 more FO's and one that just needs seaming. At the rate I'm going, it may be November before I get around to posting and seaming those though!
You always do such amazing work! Everything is beautiful!

Can't wait to see what you come up with for Sock KAL. I have the Seaweed Socks que'd as well!
Oooo, I like Yosemite. The pattern caught my eye when it was published, but it looked like it was biasing like crazy. Yours looks pretty straight. Is it? Do you find it twisting around you as you wear it? Maybe it was the yarn she used...
