This Can't Be Happening ....

.... yes, it is - another WIP completed - the Hourglass Cable Sweater .....I cast off the 2nd sleeve on Friday night, picked up the neck on Saturday & on Sunday morning was sewing on the sleeves. It was a breeze as there was not much sewing to be done - I knitted the body in the round, 3 needle bind off the shoulders & knitted the sleeves in the round too & all the sewing that I did was to attach the sleeves - this is great ! Check out the sleeves ....
..... knitted part of the sleeve with dpns & the other part with circulars & look at the little holes of M1 (knit front & back) on the underside of the sleeve which are quite decorative - this will be the way that I knit all sleeves in the future ! Easy & quick !
I really like the center cable panel of the sweater although I had to adjust the pattern to suit knitting in the round. This sweater is a nice knit & it fits perfectly - a pattern from Jo Sharp's Knit 2 magazine & I used her Soho Summer DK Cotton in Cloudless which is a really pretty sky blue (one of my favorite colors).
Although this sweater took me about 5 months to knit (with all the other projects going on), I am glad I finish it now as it's just in time for autumn & even winter. You will be surprised how warm cotton is!
Since I am on the roll, better finish up the rest of the WIPs - the Zig Zag Vest & soome more socks - then I can cast on a new project - a shawl or more socks .....

Ann your jumper is so lovely!! It is really beautiful and I love that you have knitted it all in the round. You are an 'in the round' expert!! I thought it was going to be another Hourglass Jumper,: this one is much nicer!!!
I have almost finished the 'rib' part of the front of the Vest Side Story, then only 136 rows to go!!!
