A Sock A Day

That's right, I am not kidding - I managed to knit a sock in a day & by the 2nd day, I had a pair of socks .....
... here's the pair but ....

..... but it's a pair of infant socks - just got a little tired with all the yos & k2tog, sskp, etc so decided to knit a pair of infant socks with leftover yarn. It was really quick & satisfying - just 10 sts on each dpn & then it was finished! It's really cute & I think I will be knitting more of these socks whenever I need a break from "real" socks knitting.

The other sock is my Embossed Leaves sock (from Favorite Knits) which I have finished & now on the second sock. I have decided to leave the lace pattern as it is (reversed) as it looks alright to me. The yarn is Colinette's Jitterburg in Oyster Blush - it's a lovely yarn to knit with & I will buy more of this yarn as it's really suitable for socks.

I know this is late but if anyone is interested in contributing to breast cancer (October being breast cancer month) do drop by at The Knittery & grab some pink yarn - I have been looking for some nice pink yarn to knit these socks & now I have found my yarn.

Thanks for the comment on Summer of socks blog. The container is called a yarn clam. Really some person took a plastic food container and just put a brass grommet in the bottom. the cost is only .85 cents US to make and they sell for $2.50. Your ability to make socks quickly is quite impressive.

Those are very nice socks and sometimes you just need something fun but mindless. You finished that EL sock quickly, too!

What cute little socks! Your Embossed Leaf sock looks great. I love Jitterbug, too, and look forward to knitting 2 more pairs with it soon. I have not seen Oyster before, it works very nicely with your pattern.
