My 100th Post

I have just realise that this is my 100th post in 1.5 years - I don't know if it's an achievement but it feels like one - that's 1.3 posts a week or 5.5 posts a month - is that good? Anyway, I am still trying to post as regularly as I can but sometimes there's just no news to post! I will try my very best ......

Here's something I have achieve - another pair of socks ....

Pattern : A mix - C Bordhi's whirlpool toe, Wendy's gusset & Sensational Sock's Braid & Beads
Yarn : Zen Garden's merino/seacell in Mottlecah colorway
Needles : 2.25 Lantern Moon ebony dpns

I love the yarn as it's so soft & knits beautifully but there's some pooling at the heel & feet & the 2 socks are slightly different in color. If you notice, the sock on the top is lighter than the one at the bottom - this pair of socks is turning out to be a little unusual but that's alright as I will still wear them as they fitted perfectly & feels so good!

Another achievement - I cast off my 1st Back to Basics sock & it's the PERFECT sock - I have never knitted a sock that fitted so well ....

As I was knitting the sock, I thought the heel was too long & wide but it was not - it's the best fit & it looks so good. I really love this design, especially the gusset increase on the top of the foot ...

..... doesn't it look great - I will definitely be using this pattern a lot more & I think it will be the perfect pattern for my husband.

Another achievement - 2 new projects - I have cast on the socks for Can Assist & also the Bonsai Tunic. This Tunic has been on my knit list for a while but I just can't find the right yarn for it until I knitted the Singlet for Lynette. I did a swatch with the bamboo/cotton & it was perfect, so off to Spotlight for more yarn ....

.... but the colors were limited so I settled for this which I think will be an easy color to match my clothes. I am glad that I found the yarn as I will love to have the Tunic ready for autumn which is around the corner !

Hurrah for your finished socks Ann! And no one will see the pooling on the Zen ones - they'll be in your shoes!

oooh love the choice of yarn for the bonsai! it'll be excellent for our climate - you can even layer it when the weather gets cooler!

I really must head down to spotlight for some black bamboo for my shrug...

I love the green socks, they look great. The Bonsai tunic looks so nice in that color cotton. Perhaps I need to buy some of that bamboo cotton as yours makes it look so nice knit up.

Lovely socks! That's great that the second pair fit you so well, bet you'll be making more of those ;-)
I just bought that copy of IK on ebay and was debating about knitting the bonsai tunic, I really like it. Can't wait to see how yours looks. There is a part in the pattern that confuses me about the shoulders? I will see what you think about it as you knit it - I'd still like to have it on my to do list.
I'm also thinking of trying 'Sahara ' again, and I've ordered yarn to make a cami from the knitting lingerie book which I also ordered from Amazon this week :-) So much lovely stuff to knit... as always, so little time.
Have a great weekend.

I really like that Zen Garden color. Very pretty, even if they are a bit uneven in tone.

Blessings!
