A New Addition To My Wardrobe

I cast off the Bonsai Tunic & just love it (please ignore the towel) .... the pattern is lovely & the color too & with all the lace & different stitches, it took me only 3 weeks to complete - it will be a lovely addition to my autumn wardrobe.

Pattern : Interweave Knits Spring 2007
Yarn : Spotlight's Moda Vera bamboo/cotton (7+ balls)
Needles : Addi circular 4.5mm & 4.0mm

I did a lot of modifications on this pattern as I knitted it in the round but I am pleased with it. The only problem that I had is not the pattern but my ugly seaming of the neck band - fortunately, it can't be seen from the front & I will have to grow my hair longer to hide the back of the neck. I tried to unpick the seaming but I did a very good job of hiding the ends that I can't find them. On top of that, the yarn is just too splitty to do any unpicking so I will have to live with it ! Anyway, the tunic fitted me perfectly & here's Lynette wearing it .....

Since I have not decided on my next project (it has to be a vest with no seaming at all), I went through my sock yarn stash & found the yarn that I bought long.....ago to make this ....

.... the Chevron Scarf which every knitter in blogland has knitted one but not me, so I cast on & it's going beautifully - love the colors. The yarn is Mama Llama's self-striping sock yarn in winter colorway - I think it will be the right scarf for winter !

Now I am off to do the swatch for the Mystic Light Shawl KAL which I have joined - if you are interested, it's still open for registration ......

Oh I do like how that turned out. I love how the waist is pulled in, it's very flattering on Lynette. Well done.

Fantastic! WOW! That looks amazing. The colour and the shape and everything is perfect.

When you find a vest you're wanting to make, I'll be interested to see because I'm looking for an all in one vest, too.

Very nice! And I for one have not knit a chevron scarf... yet. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Hard to believe it's crochet, eh?

Wow! I like yours better than the book's! You did great! I haven't made the scarf, so you're not the last one yet ;-) There just aren't enough cold days here to have many scarves (or room in my house) for that matter. I want to knit one just the same.
