I think I am, as for the last 2 weeks, I have been only knitting this ....
..... and I did it within 10 days & then there was the blocking & drying.
I am so in love with this pattern, The Flower Basket Shawl - it's such a great change from my Mystic Light Shawl (which is taking a rest to recover from the massive frogging) - a lovely & easy lace pattern that I just can't put it down. In fact, the pattern only requires 7 repeats but I was so carried away that I did 12 repeats ! The blocked shawl measures 64" x 32" & there is still some more yarn left. I should have kept going ...
And the yarn - it so soft & so lovely to knit with. I fell in love with the yarn when Helen first showed it to me & I knew I had to cast on a new project - it's Dream In Color Baby in Funky Fuchsia colorway - it's supposed to be lace weight but it felt like 3 ply & I used a 4mm needle.
This has been one of the best project that I have done - the pattern & the yarn is a winning combination - I can knit more of these shawls & maybe set up a shop to sell them - any buyers out there? Anyone interested in buying the Fuchsia Flower Basket Shawl as I can whip up another one very quickly......
While waiting for the shawl to block, I did this ....
.... fingerless mittens for Lynette. She is having her semester exams & have been doing quite a lot of revision & sitting in her room with frozen fingers, so she asked for some mittens. Lynette went through my sock yarn leftovers & came up with this combination - Fleece Artist & Socks That Rocks. I just did some measurements & then knitted them up in 2 days. I am really happy with the finished mittens & now Lynette's fingers are warm enough so that she can finish her revision for the last paper tomorrow.
So, am I knitting fast enough ?

Wow - 10 days! That has to be a record surely. The shawl looks beautiful, I wish I could enlarge the pic to see the detail in it.
Nice gloves too.
Your shawl is beautiful!
Dream in Color is becoming my favourite yarn very quickly.
Amazing - the shawl is beautiful...
Wow! It doesn't look easy to me, but it sure is lovely!! Your fingers must have been flying :)

Thanks for your comments on my scarf and cowl! Your shawl looks incredible and I'm amazed you knit it up that quickly! I also really like your mitts...I love the color combination between the two yarns.
To answer your question...can we ever really knit fast enough for all there is to do? :)
Both projects are absolutely lovely!!! Nice work, and uh yeah , uh pretty quick indeed!
WOW! I'm full of admiration. I would say, yes, you're knitting fast enough.
But there's always room for more, right? that shawl is on my list. I just love it.
